Subject: vs Crawley

On Saturday we a team who were basically fitter than us who did the easy things easy. Tactically their game plan was better than ours. Presumably Francis Vines scouting trip told him a lot about our capabilities. There is no point in the 'manager' laying the blame with the players, we all know he refuses to take responsibility for his actions apart from when we win.
The Crawley defence had a field day against our tactic of lumping the ball into the penalty box in the hope that somebody might get on the end of it. When we play the ball on the floor we are an infinitely better team, forcing big central defenders to turn is a better option.
Against Lewes, Staines and Crawley we had a total inability to defend from dead ball situations. 6 goals being conceeded from corners or free kicks around our penalty area.Perhaps the 'managers' time would be better spent working on this than slagging the team off.
I am sure the players will put Saturday's 20 minutes of misery behind them and start performing at a level we and they know they are capable of.
