Personally, I think the horror gimmick was lame after a time. Jerry was filtering everything Mike did, and now he's free to express himself as an artist.
Agreed, gospal music would suck much dick, but I don't think Mike is gonna get political or too spiritual, but he's always been sorta absract and open to interpretation. I'm sure in some state of mind, Mike's lyrics are genius.

Oh, and

Since when has ICP been about god? I thought they were just about making shit music...
