i hear ya. there were bums on the corner selling flags at the time. when the week before they were straight panhandeling or selling flowers. fishy as hell. the only US flag we had on our car had the independents' truck co. logo and a red monster on it, and we had that sticker up a year before 9/11 and it's still on there. i'm from Great Britain. my patriotism is with them. and my BF loves LOVES this country, but he says he has no need to prove it to anyone else. anyway, i'm on a tangent. i agree with your post, you can stay on your soapbox! :)
