Welcome to all who wish to charitably discuss the Truth of Jesus Christ.
Please read the following and
contact Dr. Scott Hahn.
Many teach deceptively about the The Holy Catholic Church
of Jesus Christ, Roman Rite.
All I know is that the more I trust God and
not the world's logic the happier I am. People who
have died and come back (near death experience
people) report that if we could actually see the
spiritual battle between good and evil all around us,
that we would be blown away. "For
we are not contending
against flesh and blood, but ... against the spiritual hosts of
wickedness in the heavenly places." -Ephesians 6:12
There is a battle for our very souls. Many persons who
have tried very hard to surrender to God like Saints have
seen this battle very clearly.
Â
"For the time is
coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having
itchy ears then will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit
there own likings, and will turn away from ... the truth and
wander into myths." - 2Timothy
4:3-4
Satan wants Christians to be divided in faith and morals. It is
so sad that man's logic has allowed this to happen.
We all have the tendency to try to form God in our imperfect
image. There are deceivers out
there, both knowing and unknowing that lead people away from
God's loving ways. I have messed up
too many times, so I try to be more careful and receive strength
from God to teach only truth.
How do we know who is teaching the truth? Jesus
Christ said
in the Gospel that there will be many coming in My Name but
they won't be from Me. For one thing, God promised David
that
the Kingship God formed for David will last forever. Jesus
is
called 'Son of David,' and His human lineage does trace back to
David.
Eliakim received the main
office of minister under the King.
"In that day I will
call my servant Eliakim ... and I will clothe him, and will bind
your girdle on him, and will commit your authority to his hand;
and he shall be a father to the house of Judah. And I will place
on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and
none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. And I
will fasten him like a peg in a sure place, and he will become a
throne of honor to his father's house."-Isaiah 22:20-23
Eliakim had predecessors and successors.
God clearly defines how His will is known."He [Jesus] said to
them, 'But who do you say
that I am?' Simon
Peter replied, 'You are the Christ, the Son
of the living God.' And Jesus answered him, 'Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jona!
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my Father in Heaven And I tell you,
you are Peter [(Kephas,
meaning rock, Simon means reed, which sways--- when God changes someone's name, it is very important)] and on this rock I will
build my church and the powers of death shall not prevail against
it. I will give you the keys to the
kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound
in heaven, and
whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.'" -Matthew 16:15-19
Peter has successors, and at some time
in history they became known as Popes. Notice how Eliakim
is called a father. Pope means
father. It is an affectionate title, keeping the Church in
a family atmosphere. At the end of the
Gospel of John, Jesus commissioned Peter "Tend my sheep."Acts 15 and other
Scriptures clearly show Peter as leader of the Church.
Peter went to Antioch, then Rome, where he was
martyred - crucified upside down. __________________________________________________________________________________
"that
no prophesy of scripture is a matter of one's own
interpretation." -2Peter 1:20 Â All other Christian Faith
communities, except the Catholic (universal, Catholic was coined
at Antioch shortly after the Apostles because of other faith
communities claiming to be theChurch)Â were started from
private interpretations with differing teachings on faith
and morals. Â Yes, Christians are
collectively called 'the Church,' however we are fallible.Â
The teachings given by God, as He
prescribes, in Faith and Morals are Divine, and not fallible.
in the love and peace of
Christ Jesus.
