Subject: Alice in Dairyland 2022

While most here are fixed over who will win Miss Wisconsin next month, tonight Wisconsin will crown the next Alice in Dairyland. If you need to know or ask what that is, go straight to the Illinois or Minnesota border and don't look back at America's Dairyland!!

Tonight the six finalists will present their selected agricultural product or industry for the judges (their version of the talent competition) before the naming of the winner around 9 pm tonight, Saturday, May 21st at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in downtown Madison. The panel of agricultural expert judges met with the finalists today for personal interviews.

The candidates, all first-time Alice finalists, were announced in March and posted here on this message board on March 11, 2022:

The odds on big favorite to win the Alice in Dairyland 2022 title and crown is Taylor Paige Schaefer, 22, of Franksville (Racine County), who graduated from UW-Madison last Saturday. The next two with probably best chance to become the successor to Julia Christine Nunes of Tilden (Chippewa County) are: Samantha Josephine Schuessler, 23, of Antigo, and Amber Katherine Cafferty, 25, of Fountain City.

Julia was crowned in June 2020 in Delavan and reigned for two years (similar to Miss Wisconsin 2019, Alyssa Bohm) as there wasn't an Alice in Dairyland finals held last year due to the still lingering COVID-19 health pandemic--even if in 2021 many annual events, including the Miss Wisconsin pageant in Oshkosh, were being held. Good luck to all six finalists tonight.

Check Facebook for possible live-stream show of the Alice finals which will begin at 7:30 pm tonight, Saturday.
