In reply to: Damian Walsh 's message, "Re: Just my minor .02 worth" on 06:24:18 04/18/01 Wed

I knew you'd be back soon Walsh. When I read that Damian had posted to a board like this, I immediatly called him last night to see if he was on his deathbed, or had been possesed by some other being, such is his aversion to this "happy" medium.

Some interesting points raised by Coach Walsh, all of which are ones him and I debated over hours and hours of long runs and ice baths in Chatt (while not living up to our potential Pete, haha), or on the long assed drive from the Dirty South to London or to any number of meets on the bus.

As for me being baited out of silence by Pete merely stirring my feathers... well thats probably true. I can never resist a good feather rustling.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that I am addicted (as that would be just sad!) but I wil say I enjoy seeing Pete's training log, feeling like a puss for not training as hard and speculating just how much I will be able to drink his skinny ass under the table next time I see him. I am actually trying to formulate some form of beers/times ratio (ignoring the beer mile) so that I might level the playing field for myself. I am sure there are lots of canucks and brits who can pound the bevvies and the miles, but hopefully I would be higher up on that ladder than I am on the straight up running one. I will keep you posted on my "research".

So Pete, any decisions on Penn/Summer yet? Santos tells me he is doing the 5 at Penn and Holland has been mysteriously quiet lately, might be a good preview for edmonton. Plus I am sure Bohan will be ready to crank things up again after having a disapointing (for him at least) run in N.C. whats the scoop??
