~she peers about at the towering oak tree on which she sits. she tilts her head upwards, noting with satisfaction the canopy above that keeps the rain off her, as well as provides shade in the sun. she gives a great thrust of her wings and lifts off towards the top of her tree, where she notices a semblance of a flat area, branches twisted together to form a platform, almost. she lands on this section, testing it for strength, durability, and lasting. She clacks her beak in approval and turns to the left. To her great surprise and wonder, she also notes a crevice next to the platform, the branches growing toward it. she carefully edges her way onto that crevice and begins to explore. The break in the rock face continues back for a few feet, and Silver~Tongued smiles inwardly at the myriad of uses for such a natural wonder.~
~She takes off from the crevice, drifting down like a feather in the wind to the ground below. She explores this new area thoroughly, until she is convinced she knows every corner of the ground level. She then meanders over to a bush that bares some type of berry. She gathers a large collection, and putting them in an oversized leaf, she carries them back to her new living quarters. She gently stashes them in the crevice, then returns to the ground to find more improvisions. Suddenly her feathers stand on end, and a crack of lightning splits the air not 20 feet from her, followed by a tremendous burst of thunder. She abandons her escavade, for now, and flies rapidly to her crevice, purposely avoiding alighting in the tree, which could provide an ample target for the electric bolts. She lies down in her crevice, stately as she awaits the pasing of the storm.~
(in real life I have to quit typing b/c of a storm, so I put that little end off so I had a reason to abandon her adventures)
