Subject: Like just last night, my body was telling me to have a huge dish of ice cream, so I got in my car and went off to get it. Almond Joy is my new favorite-- coconut ice cream with chunks of almonds and chocolate. mmmm It probably wasn't organic milk, and the value of the calcium was most likely canceled out by the fat and sugar, but oh well. I am convinced that eating ice cream was one of the things I came back to earth for. Why should I deny my soul the quiet pleasure of such a wonderful invention? *G* The bottom line of this whole discussion is that we are all free to decide what we choose in life, food included. What works for me might not work for you, but that doesn't mean that one is right and the other is wrong. It sure is fun to discuss it all, though. Don't you think?
In reply to: Linda in sw va 's message, "Hi Martina! That's a very good point about variety, I think whether you're a meat eater or a vegatrian variety in the diet is important to good health. Also, about the life-span of people, lucky for us it is getting longer! lol I think that is due to many things - our lfie is not as harsh and importantly - we have better medical care available to us now. As well as a better variety of foods. Plus we have more info on nutricion and brushing teeth and so forth! I've read articles on how keeping your teeth healthy actually effects your whole body in a much larger way than people realize. The hormones and additives in feed, farming etc. is a new thing in the past century or so. Factory Farming as well because mass production has become a way of life for most modern markets. That's also a very good point to listen to what you're body tells you, just like we all find our own path spiritually I think it's important to listen to our bodies in other ways as well. :)" on 13:34:15 07/28/03 Mon

Yes, life is too short to pass up ice cream or any other little pleasures that catch our fancy. :) :) And of course I agree with you on each of us deciding what's best for us. My husband likes meat and my kids eat some, I'm not going to force them to change their diet, for one thing I think it's something they can decide in their own time much like religion.. -- sw va Linda, 18:38:06 07/28/03 Mon

[> [> [> [> Bwahahaha, you are absolutely right. Nothing bad about ice-cream anyway, once again itīs the balance. If youīd eat nothing else than ice-cream your body would probably donīt like it any more sooner or later anyway. Most of the time it protects us very well from doing the wrong thing. Thatīs what appetite and cravings are good for, right?*g* -- Martina, 13:54:40 07/29/03 Tue
