Subject: Well, of course I had to go back and take a second look at the Sjheela Na Gig one, hehehe! Gosh, I have a hard enough time explaining vessel when someone asks me, I can't imainge explaing that one. ;-) Oh and I almost got the Radiance one! I agree, it's hard to chose one. I also like the tree pose from Yoga.
In reply to: Lissa 's message, "OMG Can I have every one of them? I just love Radiance, but Brigit speaks to me, too. I must say, that is a very tasteful rendition of Sheela Na Gig and anyone who has seen this in it's original form will know what I mean. It's found in Ireland and Scotland and is a very potent symbol of receptivity and life, shall we say. hehehe" on 14:41:44 07/28/03 Mon

[> [> [> hehe Such interesting things you can find on a google search... try typing in Sheela Na Gig. I was looking for a picture to share with you all and I came across some incredibly interesting reading. Here is a page with a clear picture--you get the general idea of what the Sheela's are about *wink*-- and a link to a page written by a woman who did lots of research, with good links at the end.... http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/moonstone/sheelafront.htm And to think we thought the stone circles were the big mystery in Celtic lands. *G* -- Lissa, 00:08:25 07/29/03 Tue

[> [> [> [> WOW! Lissa, great info there! As I was reading about Sheela over the doorways, I thought of the movie Patch Adams and the GYN meeting where he made the doorway resemble the crotch of a woman. ANYWAY, I admire people that can really live their spiritual life! I mean to say that I cant seem to blend my spiritual views with my messy life. So when I read about someone that lives as they believe,I enjoy that. Am I making sense? -- Jeannine, speaking of the author of the article of your link, 02:22:08 07/29/03 Tue
