Subject: I absolutely do NOT feel guilty, but that is in part because I was brought up very open-minded about religious concepts. We were also brought up to question authority, not to bite hook, line, and sinker onto whatever supposed authorites have to say. But my husband had a far different experience. Like Maria, he had 12 years of catholic schooling where guilt and conformity were the norm. He once said that he didn't realize that he was creative until he was in his 30's. How much guilt he feels about things is a mystery to me, but loosening his Irish Catholic uptightness is a work in progress. *G* Four children and one defiant woman later, he has no choice but to learn how to go with the flow. hehehe

[> [> [> count me in for the talk! I used to feel as you do Ron! How can God be real if this world is so F`ed up?! Then I heard that song,I think its Bett Midler, From a distance, God is watching us...and the world seems...? I forgot shiny and blue? Anyway the idea is that the petty problems of the world dont concern God, he/she/it looks at the whole picutre and as a whole we are doing well. Anyway, it touched me and I really changed a bit then in attitude. -- Jeannine, 01:00:31 06/30/03 Mon
