When I was about 20 I was seeking proof. I read any book to the subject I could get into my hands. But it remained being experiences of others, and I myself had a hard time believing it.
I went to psychics, trying to connect to passed away people. One of the remarkable moments was when my Mom was with me in the reading, and the medium told her that her Mom (my grandma) was in the room! My hair raised! But it got worse, she also told us her name, Ruth. There was no mentioning of her name before! Then the medium said my Mom should envision Ruth giving her a flower. Mom asked what kind of flower. A yellow narcissus (daffodil?), she said.
Mom paled.
It was her momīs favorite flower!

The best proof I got was when my Dad died. A friend of us, who has medium-skills, called us while Dad was still laying in his bed, just passed away. She said Dad was right beside her, talking to her! Antje was on the phone, and she thought she even heard the deep sound of his voice in the background! We have told this story before in its full length. He told us he is fine, and it is amazing how perception changes instantly. Things that werenīt seen as important in life suddenly become a different meaning. He has to do some self study now...
Then he told her we should look in one of the small drawers to find what we are looking for.
She asked us what that could be. What are we looking for? Well, we were out of Kleenex, already using toilet paper to cry into. We then found the right drawer and they were full of kleenex! Mom said they bought it the other day, and he stored them away, she didnīt see where. She was laying down most of the time, because she had bad hips (she got an operation later and is fine now).
It was so like him to take care of us, even from the grave, showing us the kleenex.*g*
I was sad for some years, even though I knew he is still there, somewhere. But it sure helped me to get over it sooner.

[> [> What an experience! No, I don't think I've ever had personal proof and I feared death for a long time. However in the past few years I've had, I don't know how to put it, a... spiritual awakening. And yes I am at a point now where I can say that yes, I do believe we live more than one lifetime. I've come a long way! :) -- sw va Linda, 07:47:35 06/06/03 Fri
