Do I believe in life after death? Yes, absolutely. Ummm....trying to pick which of my many stories (all true, *VBG*) with which to share with you.
My very closest friend died of cancer when we were 25. We had gone through high school together, and rented a flat when I finished nursing school. She was always the one that I thought would be there when we had kids, when they were growing up etc...
I still talk to her occasionally. One night, as I was driving home from work, I got the distinct feeling that Colleen was sitting right there beside me. I talked with her, told her about the kids etc...and it was soo great. I know there is something after this life. I can't prove it-I just know it.
When Dave's Dad passed away, I was driving to the hospital-Dave was already there. As I was going down the highway, again I knew that Dad had passed because I felt him sitting in the seat behind me. I knew he was gone before I reached the hospital. And I knew that he was okay about leaving although he had fought it the whole way.

And of course I believe in reincarnation. I believe we may have a core group of souls that we are with throughout the lives. We may have different relationships with these souls through each life, but we are together. Have you ever met someone and got the feeling that you've always known them? Have you ever looked into someone's eyes and know that you know each other on a different level? I like to think that we choose which life we are going to go through in order to grow and learn.

Maria-I was also brought up Catholic and some of my ideas and beliefs may not be what the Church preaches. I still continue to read books that may answer my questions and I've become comfortable with my beliefs. Have you read "Conversations With God" by Neale Donald Walsh? His whole series of books are very very good.

[> Thanks Keira for the book suggestions. I haven't read the ones by Michael Newton. Sounds like something that would interest me. I've read the series of three books "Conversations with God" and loved them. I have another book by Neale Diamond Walsh that I started to read, but haven't gotten too far yet, just haven't had time.>>>> -- Maria A., 23:21:29 06/05/03 Thu

Yes, I believe in reincarnation too. It just makes sense to me. How could we ever learn everything that we are supposed to learn in one lifetime. And if we didn't get it right the first time, why not a second chance. Yes, I've had those feelings about people too, feeling like I've known them a lifetime. This is how it was with the woman who I learned Reiki from five years ago. The minute I saw her, we just hugged each other. While we have never become "friends", we have a connection of just knowing each other. I also had a very close friend who I went to school with from 12 years old. She died of cancer at 32.I had a lot of dreams about her and the theme was always that it seemed like she didn't know she was dead and I was trying to hint to her in the dreams that she was not on earth anymore. It was interesting.

[> [> I too think without the concept of reincarnation life doesn´t make much sense in the big picture. I had many encounters which could be explained by that. People who seem to be so familiar, it is weird sometimes. -- Martina, 03:54:02 06/06/03 Fri
