She watched him, her violet eyes morphed with surprise, pleasant surprise. She bit her lip, looking at her own horse form. She wanted to attend the ball, but did not want to go alone. In the same token, she would be absolutely mortified if anyone were to ask her. She suddenly got a brilliant idea. Why not she ask someone?

Holding her breath and closing her eyes, her form changed from horse to human. Her hair was vaguely wavey, but hung in a ruffled 'do a few inches below her shoulders. Her dress was simple but but a bit promiscuous. It was short, only mid-thigh, and the back was open. It tied back around her neck like a halter top. The deep violet color matched her eyes, which were still violet. "Erm, X? Do you want to go to the ball... with me? I mean, not together, just like... as ... friends... or, well, I mean do you want to go together? You see, I really don't want to just show up alone because I ah.. er.. Don't really know many other.. um.. horses.. people, I guess..."

She quickly clamped her mouth shut. Oi she probably sounded to have the same brain capacity as a warthog. Running slim fingers through her hair, she awaited his response. If he said no that would be O.K. If he said yes that would be O.K. too.. maybe better than ok.. But she quickly shoved these thoughts from her mind. She needed an answer first.
