His sharp eyes catch the slight change in the countenance of the female and makes a mental note of it for future reference. "My mother is probably home; she doesn't care where I go." His visage creaks with the grin that appears. "We --" Quite suddenly the colt is surprised by the abrupt entrance of Red, his eyes snapping to follow the young mare's movements as his ears follow her words in jerks.

"My name's Arvad." The few seconds allowed for him to become use to her come to a stand-still as he watches with astonishment the ebony-petaled flowers coming to float besides his head. His eyes cross as he studies them nervously; he had thought he had the upper hand...obviously he does not.

How did she do that?! His nostrils flare as he picks up the scent of the flowers. Never before had he seen magic, and something about it sends a chill down his spine.

"Thank you," he manages to force out, making no move to take the flowers. "Their very, ah, pretty."
