Subject: DONKEY!!

Hello and welcome to the new home of the Donkey!! fixtures and information messaging board.
Fans were delighted and relieved yesterday after witnessing a hard fought 9-5 victory against the much improved Gallion's Reach, an Irish/Manchester United sub-army bent on elbow-crazy midfield domination. There was a scare late on as the hapless LL Cool J, filling in for referee David Ellery awarded a donkey goal to their opponents tying the scores at 6-6! A gallant Gallion later appealed to Mr Cool J to rectify the misposting although determined late strikes from Rawstrone and Welfare had spared any possible Donkey!! blushes.
Highlights of the game were Gareth Cameron's new boot sponsorship deal which delighted the crowd and our friends at Adidas although not the bamboozled Gallion's Reach defence and also the return to the fray of old Donkey!! favourite Simon Dilly. Speaking before the match with Jimmy Nail, Dilly, sporting a rather fetching facial hair tribute to Henrik Larsson was heard to comment thusly. "I've had a great time with Nottingham Rovers and then of course the success at the New Den was unprecedented but it's here in the dirty dungeon of Catford that my heart lies. I'm going to go out there and give it 110% Ron, sorry Jimmy." So it was with only 30 minutes on the clock Dilly put his best fist forward and earned his seventh sin bin for Donkey levelling the legendary Spencer Howie's three year old record.
Next week the much anticipated Binatli fixture is set down for Wednesday. The squad is invited to declare availability for this crunch encounter.
