In reply to: Heywood 's message, "Okay, this is non-moderated. We can post in any thread we'd like, and TEOW made a comment about your previous post." on Tue, Apr 13 2004, 20:16:29

Two things:

1. Tiered format is horrendous for discussions.
2. Organization is essential. How many of you have become disoriented just by looking at all the varying thread titles and places, let alone the fact that some topics are split between several threads, and some don't belong where they are?

Some measure of moderation is necessary and practiced for the sake of organization. The Site Guru has pruned and moved topics in the past.

Thus, this proves that tiered format is most easily "moderated" (in the above sense) since it's most easy to see what belongs where (or, what doesn't belong where).

Apologies, Catseye, ladypilot, and T.E.O.W., for using you as "guinea pigs" for my purposes! Obviously, I don't care where you post, since we must discuss things using this format (which is, as already established, highly unsuitable to discussion) and VoyForum doesn't provide the necessary features to make discussion even somewhat coherent.
