This is my pet hate too. What drives me mad with the current, mass produced Sues is that the authors show, they don't tell. I don't want to be told 'Morfinielaranethwen is the most intellegent girl in the universe and has magic greater than Gandolph's" That's not an exposition! /Show/ me her doing this. do it without rewriting the canon or the canon characters. /Then/ I'll believe you.
