At my center there is a variety of shifts you can bid for.

1 set PDO Full Year 2-2-1

2 sets of PDO Paired days off 2-2-1 (ie: SS for 6 months TW for 6 months)

1 set of PDO Paired days off 2-X-2 (ie: SS for 6 months TW for 6 months) where x = either day or night and no mids

where 2-2-1 equals 2 days 2 nights 1 mid, days are 7am-3pm nights 3-11pm and mid 11-7am

then there are 3 other schedules that over lap so with like an 8-4pm or a 1pm-9pm or a 2-10pm 4-12am . Almost all are flex schedules so you can come in 30 minutes early and leave 30 minutes early or if they need you, you get overtime for 30 minutes and leave at your scheduled time.

The PDO's are really what the bid is for and it goes down the list so I get a great Tues. Wednesday first six months and Wednesday Thursday off for the rest of the year!
