I recommend a Tower/ Tracon Up-down facility. These are becoming smaller in number these days with Tracons combining up, but there are still many of these facilities in the U.S. At our facility, we alternate days. One up, then one day down in radar etc....

That way, you get the best of both worlds, and after a few years maybe could decide to go to a different facility to do either radar or tower operations. You are a parrot (who has to fix the stuff tracon feeds you) and, you get to blend the stuff the parrots give you. Hope this helps!
