Subject: Are you thinking of the Apocryphia?

The Apocryphia are books that are not included in the Protestant Bible but are inlcuded in the Roman Catholic version. Go here for a brief into

http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/apocrypha_exp.html

For some more detail try the Catholic Encyclopedia

http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01601a.htm

There is an online version at (scroll to the bottom)

The straight dope

used to have a well written article on who (historically) wrote the Bible, but I can't seem to find the colum now...maybe you will have better luck; it might talk about the Apocryphia.

As far as your other questions, some people (mostly nutjobs) think that the Book of Revelation is a prophecy about the end of the word. There are other demons (some of whom are) mentioned in the Bible and who are part of Christian folklore. I found this site

http://www.meta-religion.com/Esoterism/Satanism/judeo-christian_demons.htm

which seems to have some interesting reading.

Good luck, Sweedy
