i've lost 5 lbs. not much, it's true, when you've got as much to loose as i do, but every little bit (i hope) will help in the end.

but i know there's no way i can do it all on my own. no way. if i had that willpower i'd have never gained the weight to begin with. what's unfortunate is that there's no one in my (real) life who'd be interested in working out with me, so i must do it alone. soooo...i'm ordring a set of workout tapes called Power90, which has a whole diet guide thing attached with it, and a website with message boards and chat rooms and such, and i'm hoping that when i order this thing tomorrow i can kind of get involved with some of the people there and stay motivated.

i don't know that this will help me any more than the tae bo tapes did (which i've viewed four or five times (the first tape) and even now sit mockingly on my video shelf), but i'm hoping that with my newfound determination to do better, and with the help of some online people going through the same thing, i can maybe finally make it through it. i *dream* about being one of the success stories. i've already taken my "before" pictures, and they'll be quite sufficient as the horrible contrast to the new person i'll hopefully become ;)

gah, i just want to get started. on my own, right now, i'm constantly wavering back and forth between determination and falling off the wagon.

too bad we don't live anywhere near each other, Brack...we could work out together :( i hear ya about the self confidence, though. i have dreams about that, too.
