Also, Jimmy sucks and likes to toot his own horn. Hence the song. Still, no one cares though.

Lol, Heather! Good answer.

Which show(s)/character(s) were you referring to?

Well, what got me started was Veronica Mars. The second season premiered here last Friday and there's three new people in the opening credits. Two were in the first season (although they weren't what you'd call "likeable") and one we still haven't seen in the show yet. I liked the cast how it was, damnit! The bloody new people should piss off! *sigh* Anyways, just needed to vent.

There *are* exceptions to the new-characters-usually-suck rule, however. Oz being one of them;) However, in a BTVS magazine I spotted an article that supposedly explains Seth Green's departure from the show.

In it, he's quoted as saying, "That first season I was on, they gave me a bunch of great stuff to do, but...my whole second season, the plot line they wanted to do had so little to do with me that they were forcing me into every episode like a square peg in a round hole. And it left me feeling like I wasn't getting the creative satisfaction that I was being offered elsewhere. I would essentially work 12 to 18 hours a day...I had a couple of 48-hour days and I thought, 'This is insane.' I literally couldn't do anything else in my life, like make a dentist appointment, see a friend of mine - have a birthday! In the third season all the writers were trying to fit me in, and I'm winding up spending five days a week, 12 to 14 hours a day, so I can sit in a crowded room of a multi-character scene and say, 'I think Buffy's right'."

Personally, I liked Oz *best* in S3. Okay, he didn't have much to do, but then that's what sort of character he was. He didn't say much and he didn't do much, but still he was an awesome character. When they gave him that storyline in S4, it wrecked the character imho. I thought they forced him into episodes a *lot* more in S4 than they did in S3.
