Author: Anonymous [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:06:09 06/03/01 Sun We just got in from the Stars Over the USA State pageant and we also did the Summer Fun pageant. I'm not even posting how my children did at this time because there is something far more important I need to say. To Chris Dibbs, Becky Powell, Darra Reynolds, Jennifer Parker, Leticia Rose and the other friendly faces I say a huge Thank You. You are the reason we remain in pageantry. You were there to cheer and support EVERYONE at the pageant...not just your child! And when my children's names were called, your voices were heard yelling as loud as mine. And then when the ugliness of pageants reared it's head, you stood up for Sydney, you said the things I could not say, and you showed what being a good person inside is all about. To the people who hurt me to the core of my heart by the things they said about my daughter, I will simply say "May God Bless You" and I am so thankful that Sydney is too young to understand what she heard from you. Miss Lucy, thank you for two days of wonderful pageants and for all you do for our children. And to the judges, thank you for your time. Thank you to the person whom I hope will someday call us a friend for explaining and putting a smile back on my face! They had an incredible weekend eating candy and playing with their friends! To us that is what pageants are for. We enjoyed meeting so many new people and seeing some faces we hadn't seen in a while.
