Episode 8 - "Where We Left Off"
Thalia walks back to her dorm after a long nights slaying with Faith, she stops at the door when she sees Dawns hairband hanging from the handle.
She smiles to herself and continues.
Pulling upto Faiths apartment block, she is about to step from the car when she sees Xanders car parked outside.
She drives on.
"Damn! am I like the only one not getting any?" she frowns as she tugs at the locked door to Andrews bar.
"Not me" calls a voice. Thalia spins round to see Travis standing there.
"Hey stranger. How you been?" she smiles as the two park on a bench.
"Bored, you?"
"Apocalyptic" she smiles.
"So, who's getting it?" he asks laughing.
"Gandy, Dawn and the new guy...Faith and Xander..."
"Faith?! and...Xander!" Travis asks double checking he heard right.
"like Faith, the Vampire Slayer...and Xander...the brick layer?"
"Yeah, those two. Anyways..." she starts completely oblivious to his jealousy
"Ryan, he's English! apparently he grew up like two towns over from me, in Darlington...I lived in Amberfield, it's a bit like here...with the weirdness. Not coolness...anyway...he.." Thalia notices his lack of interest
"What's wrong?" she asks concerned as she follows his eyes up to a man, holding his stomach, clearly wounded.
Thalias eyes widen as Travis rushes over to aid to the man.
"Thalia! help me, hurry" Travis calls pulling the man over to the bench"
the man smiles at Thalia, straining to do so
Thalia can barely make a noise "U-Uncle?"

Garrison is flipping pancakes for breakfast as Andrew watches Cartoons in bed. Andrew seems awkward that Garrison is wondering around whering not much more than his skin.
Garrison takes note of his shyness "I don't think you need to shy after last night" he smiles
Andrew squirms awkwardly "I'm not...just...what if...you burn yourself?"
Garrison laughs and does a running jump under the covers and begins a tickle attack.
Dawn and Ryan are laying in bed, Dawn has her head on Ryans chest as he wraps his arm around her she looks up at him.
She smiles widely before closing her eyes, he smiles back then looks away, face drowned with guilt.
Xander and Faith are sat up talking in bed as Faith straddles him.
"At least I got away without being strangled this time" he laughs.
Faith seems unamused and pulls out a large knife. She raises it to the air ready to plunge it into Xander, but she's stopped as a hand grabs her wrist, Anyanka pulls her off and then climbs on top of Xander.
Xander wakes in a pool of cold sweat, he turns to see Faith is no longer at his side.
He grabs around the room to pull on clothes that are flung all over the place, including his underwear which has found its way on top of the wardrobe.
He can't seem to find his overshirt. Slipping his vest on he steps out into the other room where he sees Faith in his overshirt, chomping on several slices of toast.
Her hair is flung loose on top of head, aside from his shirt, she wears only boxers.
"Hey" Xander says quietly
"Hey" Faith says avoiding contact and continuing to read the paper.
"Whatcha doing?" Xander asks, thinking to himself what a stupid question it was.
"Checking to see if Ethan and the 3 bitches of Eastwick have anymore stories for me"
"right, bitches like witches and the film" Xander rambles
"Right" Faith laughs at him.
"So, haven't you got work or something today?" Faith says cooly.
Xander smiles and heads for the door, without saying goodbye. He stops
"Last night...was that..."
"it was fun" Faith replies
"Fun, right, well...See ya" he smiles forcefully
as he shuts the door Faith wraps his shirt tighter to herself.
"What happened?" Thalia begs without saying as she hold her uncle in her arms.
"It is coming" he weakly says as blood spills from his mouth
"What's coming?" Travis asks in concern.
Thalia releases her uncle from her grip falling back in fear.
"Thalia, what...what are you doing?" Travis is now scared, still holding her Uncle.
Thalia runs from the scene.
"Tell her...it's all about the...sun" her Uncle says spluttering his last breath as he dies.
Travis looks on in shock, hands covered in blood.

"You can't just leave!" Dawn says as Thalia begins to throw stuff in her bag frantically
"Well, I am" she says ignoring Dawn as she zips across the room.
Ryan walks out of the bathroom.
"Why are you leaving?" he asks with a sincere interest
"It's not important, just, for your sakes, you don't know me!" she says in panic
Dawn grabs her by the arm and pushes her down.
"Sit still and tell me what the hell is going on! You're not doing this again!! You're not fighting by our side then living a double life that nearly gets us all killed!"
"You wouldn't understand" Thalia says trying to stand up
"Try me" says Dawn, arms folded, a stern look across her face
"There isn't time, he's coming" Thalia says beginning to well up.
"Who's coming? We can defeat him, between us we have a Slayer, a weather witch, a very powerful demon, a...are you strong?..." she asks turning to Ryan, who shrugs.
"...a potentially strong white lighter thingy, two men who are very capable of fighting, a mean hair pulling bitch and me. You don't need to be afraid."
"You remember what you told me about Glory?" Thalia says fearfully as Dawn nods
"You've not seen nothing yet! you thought she wouldn't stop till she got what she wants? wait till you meet this guy"
Dawn is clearly shaken but she keeps it together "Why does he want you?"
"I don't have time! I have to get out of here, not just for me, for you!!"
Before Dawn can speak another word the wall at the side of the dorm is torn off, to reveal a short old man, in a purple cape.
"We're running from that?" Ryan laughs eating his words as he is thrown through the wall with just a wave of the demons hand.
"Ryan!!" Dawn calls running through the whole to aid to him
"Witch, its time to pay back the deposit. You didn't complete your mission...you broke the contract and it's time to pay"
the demon begins a mini-rant as Dawn hurls an axe into his back. She grabs Thalia by the arm and the three of them run off as fast as they can.
from the rubble, the demon regains conciousness quickly "You can't run forever witch" he calls in a rage before dissapearing in a puff of smoke.
The three are still running, Ryan pulls them in down an alley as Dawn grabs Thalia and pins her up against the wall.
"What the hell was that and don't tell me it's none of my business because we have to move dorms again!!"
Thalia stays silent, looking to the ground, Dawn shakes her hard "Tell me" Dawn raises her hand and slaps Thalia across the face as Thalia begins violently crying.
Ryan pulls Dawn away from Thalia and looks at her with disapprovement. Thalia slides down the wall, unable to elevate herself.
Ryan crouches down and rests his hand on her arm, he lifts her chin so that they are at eye level "Listen, we can't help you. Not if you won't tell us what we're helping you with"
"Now, you do need to tell us or it won't just be you that gets killed...it'll be everyone"
she nods weakly as he helps her to her feet and walks her off along the street. Dawn follows behind with a face like thunder.
"I'm coming!!" Faith says, now dressed up to the eyeballs, red leather pants, a tiny black top and tossled hair reaching half way down her back.
She opens the door smiling, only to see Travis in a panic her Face drops.
"I didn't want to bother you, but I can't find the others we have a situation"
"What situation?" before Travis can start. Xander appears at the door
"Oh, you've got company" he says raising his hand to greet Travis, recieving not more than a chilling gaze.
"Sorry am i interrupting?" Travis hisses
"It doesn't matter, Trav, you said we've got a situation?"
"It's Thalia"
"And the surprises never stop coming"
"...and Ryan"
"again with the surprises" Faith says
"Who's Ryan?" Xander asks out of the ring of things
"and...let me guess, Dawn?"
Travis nods "It's serious, Thalia's uncle is from the original council, he arrived today, stabbed. Before he died, he told Thalia that 'it' was coming"
"What's it?" asks Xander afraid
"I don't know but 'it' was enough to have Thalia run off scared, leave her uncle for dead and have her dorm wall torn off"
Panic fills Faiths face "are they okay?"
"Some students said they saw them leave the scene, they seemed relatively un hurt"
"We're okay" says Dawn as she storms through the door, the other two following closely behind her.
"This little demon guy, looks all Harry Potter...well apparently...he's not"
"He's not Harry Potter?" replies Xander
"He's not a little demon" Thalia pipes up "He's not weak"
"He threw me through a wall" Ryan smiles enthusiastically attempting to lighten things up.
"Which is why you can't be around when he comes for me"
"I side with Thalia" says Dawn bitchy.
Faith turns and looks at Dawn frustrated "Whatever it is, get over it"
She turns back to Thalia "We will win, sure you've nearly had us killed as many times as you've saved us, but, where would I be without forgiving?...dead"
"You were dead" Dawn chirps
"Real dead" Faith replies non reactant.
Andrew and Garrison are still cuddle up in bed, doing what it is that couples out of the demon gig do, just chill in bed all day.
"You know what?" Andrew pipes up
"No, I don't know what"
"I think...I might go back to college"
"What about the bar?" Garrison smiles
"We don't get anyone in during the day, especially not Vampires, they're all watching Golden Girls" Andrew smiles
Garrison laughs to himself smiling down on Andrew and twirling his hair
"You have good hair" he smiles
Andrew smiles back "Oh...and you work at college, which could be a plus"
"So the educations all one big conspiracy?"
"Educations a big conspiracy anyway, the Faculty is so based on a true story"
"We should probably get up, it's like 2.30p.m" Garrison says unenthused
"Or we could like, you know, not"
The nights is now crawling voer Boston, the gang stand boldly in a street lined up
Ryan has left the crowd at this point, he has gone to Garrison's to attempt a binding spell.
Dawn, Faith, Xander and Travis are all armed with weapons, Thalia is out of sight
the demon appears before them in it's true form

COMMERCIAL BREAK

"What the F-" Travis' words are stopped as he is immediately shot across the road through the window of Andrews bar.
He lands at Thalia and Andrews feet, Immediately Thalia comes to his aid.
"You've never done this before have you?" Garrison asks as Ryan attempts and fails to correctly set up a spell.
"Yeah...loads of times..." Ryan says laughing it off
"So, whats your story?" Garrison asks
"You just like...appeared and now you're already dating Dawn?"
"Coming from you? We're not dating, we're...I don't know"
"But you're something right?...Not what she knows though" Garrison says confident that he's right.
"What does that mean?" Ryan asks defensively
"You tell me" Garrison says buntly
Ryan takes a deep breath and looks unsure "You gotta swear on that blond guys life that you wont say a thing"
"Promise"
"I have a secret to tell you...I've been sent here. I don't know why or who by, but I know that loving Dawn and keeping her safe was part of it"
"So, why did you tell her you were a white lighter?"
"I needed her to feel safe, to trust me with her life"
"Right, and you think she'll do that when she finds out you've been lying and you can't protect her?"
"I can and she won't find out"
"She will dude, whenever someone lies, it bites them in the ass and holds on!"
"I'll protect her" says Ryan clearly
"I don't doubt it, but will it be with your life?"
"If it has to be"
at this point Andrew burts through the door
"We've got the signal, it's time"
Ryan and Garrison glare at eachother with an understanding and begin the spell
"Would you?" Ryan asks subtly
"Would you what?" Andrew asks with naivity as Garrison smiles with a 'you know the answer' look.
"that hurt you bastard" Faith snarls as she hits the ground head first.
Travis heads over to help Faith up but Xander beats him to it, to release his rage Travis goes some on the demon.
He charges at him with an axe battering him severly
"Way to go Trav" Faith cheers joining in.
Xander and Dawn approach from the back but are instantly thrown down by the demons tail.
Thalia is viewing all of this from the window with Andrew watching over her shoulder
"Good job Travis went back out there, that is so cool"
Thalia turns to Andrew "It's not cool, they're losing out there and it's my fault"
Thalia walks from the window "Is that spell done yet?" she calls out to Garrison and Ryan
"It's a No-Go" Ryan calls out.
"Fine, then it's plan C"
"What does that mean?" Andrew asks nervously "Can I Help?"
"Not unless they all need a drink" Thalia says walking out of the door, leaving Andrew looking hurt
Andrew leans out of the door "Does anyone need a drink?" he says as Xander is thrown to the door.
"Guess not"
Thalia walks out to the street and stands directly opposite the demon
"Here I Am"
The fight comes to a hault as Thalia raises her hands sending a small shock into Travis, Dawn and Faith to keep them down and out.
"Let's do this"
the demon steps up to Thalia as she bolts her arm forward releasing a fork of lightning, it holds the demon off for a moment before he continues.
She shoots more and more bolts towards him, each time only increasing his strength.
She runs into the nearest, most open space, the Multi story car park roof.
"It's simple witch, You were hired as an assasin, you were given your powers as an assasin and you've betrayed that loan now you know the price...you must handover the powers...and your soul"
before Thalia can react the demon has her by the throat, she places her hands on his chest as he sucks a yellow smokes from her, he begins to slowly freeze, releasing her in pain he steps back.
"Thats not enough, witch"
Travis comes round and sees Thalia close to the edge
"Thalia!! It's all about the Sun!!!!!"
"The Sun?" Thalia says to herself knowing she's about to push herself to the limits
She slowly lifts from the ground hands spread at her side as the demon looks freaked out to the very limits.
"I call upon you fire, I call upon you air, I call upon you Mother and I call upon the sea, the powers of the four corners, bring them to me..."
here eyes gloss over a smokey blue "BRING THEM TO ME!!!!!!!!!" she screams desperately
The ground begins to shake, bricks begin to fall from buildings and glass shatters, car alarms sound and the water at the docks begins to fury!!
"BRING THEM TO ME!!!!!" She repeats one last time as the Sun rises around her within a second, the demon screams and burns to a cinder.
the sun qucikly fades as Thalia is still off the ground she passes out and falls from the car park crashing down onto the lid of a large skip and rolling to the floor.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Dawn is pacing the floors of her new accomodation
"She'll be fine!" Dawn says phone to her ear.
"He's not my boyfriend...maybe...Buffy I'm eighteen it's legal!!!" she laughs
"I've been moved into a student house because we keep breaking the dorms!!...I know"
"Okay, speak to you soon, Say hey to Willow, love you"
she places the phone back on the handset as there's a knock at the door.
Andrew bursts through the door.
"What's wrong you're all flappy arms?"
"Guess what?!!!!"
Dawns face fills with panic "What? is it Thalia? Faith?"
"I'm your new roomie!!!"
Dawns face falls before she forces a worried smile.
Faith is sat by Thalia's bed in the hospital, she strokes her hair and shakes her head as Xander enters.
"Faith, we need to talk"
Garrison is cleaning the bar after a busy day as Ryan enters
He sits at the bar and Garrison pours out two drinks and smiles "Tell me about it"
Andrew is walking along the corridor as he knocks at the Deans office "Come in" a voice calls.
Sat there is a woman with long red hair "Are you the new Dean?" he asks, she nods her head and smiles "I'm here about a position at the paper"
"I'm sorry all positions are filled"
"No, the other paper"
"There is no..."
the woman is cut off as Anna Rayne steps out from a side door
"It's all right, he has an appointment with me...nice to see you Andrew!"
