Evaluation for True Illusion
(Friesian stallion, owned by Chelsea)
Conformation: 9.2
Very high-headed and regal, a beautiful example of the contemporary Friesian (as opposed to the stockier classic breeding). Slight straightening of the neck (it could be just the way the mane is lying,) more than I�d like to see, but otherwise rather nice. Ears could be larger.
Bloodlines: 9.7
I was always taught that a proper breeding stallion has no gaps �none whatsoever- in his pedigree. With a total of 8 sters, 14 preferents, and several models, he certainly doesn�t !
Ability: 9.5
Wow ! His keuring scores are unbelievable, some of the best I�ve ever seen. Truly a master athlete.
Show Career: 8.7
Nicely accomplished, particularly in driving. Lughy has an exceptionally high point value, which I anticipate will continue to climb, seeing as he has done all this at a young age of 6.

Offspring:
Truly Night � 8.8
2 Late 2 Be True � 7.2
Others � unknown, unable to be judged.
This stallion has (from what I can see) good purebred offspring, with similar athleticism and class. I am unsure of his other-breed crosses, however, and lament that I was only able to see 1 example. So his overall breeding score (avg of his foals� scores):

An average is found for the analysis of the actual horse, then the offspring total is doubled and added. This subtotal is then divided by 3 (averaged), which results in the TOTAL AVERAGE. The total average is what is used to rate the stallion.
