The alt is the same as used in some Mitsubishi vehicles, some look different but will work, BUT!! they are made in China, and may not last as long, the ones for the XII are made in Japan, You can see them on E-bay for about $250.00 or less. You can get the parts to rebuild one if the windings are ok, but sometimes that is where the problem is. and you can send them to Morgan Electric and have it rewound either to 35 amps or 55 amps out put..$100 plus $$.
