4" higher than when it is on the center stand. Is as close as I can say, as I do not have a XII here to figure it out. But I saw Carl put a 4" X 4" block under the center stand in the down position once and tire came out easy. I took one out once by the same way, hung the wheel over my cement patio which was about 4". If you happen to do it in a similar way make sure you block the front tire (put ty-wrp on front brake lever also and tie the center stand to the front crash bar so it cannot go foward and fall off!!! Hope this helps. I asked same question and never got exact ansewer..
