I have used the Star Tron additive. I was worried about the ethanol fuel, based on what I read in my owner's manual advising against using such gasoline. I used it the first Summer we owned the bike, in 2010, have not used it since.

The Star Tron, however, claims to stabilize gasoline for up to two years? SeaFoam will only keep it good for 12 months.

I am a dyed-inth-wool SeaFoam user, but my latest approach may prove useful to you, replacing the SeaFoam with Star Tron additive: I add SeaFoam to my gas cans, every time I fill them, so I never have to remember to treat my small engines before storage for their off-season. This way I know the gas in the cans is good for up to 12 months, so it will always be safe to use (I use them to top off the bike, prior to Winter storage, so the tank is filled to the brim -- no air pockets for condensation).

I add SeaFoam (use Star Tron, instead) every month during riding season, just as a PM: absorbs water, dissolves minor varnish deposits.

For Winter storage, I add the correct amount of SeaFoam (Star Tron) to the gas tank, run it for a few minutes to percolate it through the carbs, and the floats, then I shut it down, top it off with pre-treated gas from my cans, hook it up to the Battery Tender Jr., and cover it for the Winter. Come Spring, it fires up like I shut it down a week ago, not 4-6 months in the past. I never drain anything, and I've done this on my Voyager since 2010, without issues. It always runs great. Haven't touched the carbs since I got the bike, and had it gone through, four years ago. YMMV. Cheers!
