Good to know. I had heard/read that an engine would run on pure SeaFoam (don't remember where/when...).
Did it clean out the jets? Did it run properly after you drained the bowls, and filled them with gasoline? The holes in the jets are quite small, so I am curious whether it actually worked, or not. My mechanic shared with me how he sprays carb cleaner into the jets directly, lets them soak for a couple of hours/overnight, then he applies compressed air to blow out the softened varnish, to open the jets up. He also shared that this technique does not always work, so if that happens, he then replaces the jets with new. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I have found that SeaFoam works wonderfully as a PM: add it to your gas tank every month, to absorb any moisture present, and to dissolve any minor varnish deposits before they can become a problem. I also use it to store my bike (was three, now down to one) for the Winter. I have not had a carb issue since I started the PM routine, 4+ years ago. YMMV. Cheers!
