The rear tire has an interesting tread pattern. I like. The stats are sure in line. AND the price is great. I do question the tread design on the front tire. I always stay away from tires that have the straight line tread that circles the tire. I have found that that style tread has a tendency to follow every grove in the road. Reason I have always stayed away from the milestone tires. And thats not just on the Voyager. At least that is what i have experience over the years with different bikes including the Voyager.
Have you or anyone running that front tire experienced this.

I have alway questioned the front tire tread on the Metzelers because of its 'reversed' tire tread. Most tire treads should chanel water from the center of the tire to the outside. If any of you have the Metzelers on your bike, check the reversed tread on the front. I know some of you have had trouble with Metzeler but I guess so far I have been lucky. I am most certainly not opposed to trying a different brand tire but some of the prices of tires these days HURTS. I ran a new set of Michelin Commanders to the rally in Santa Fe. have close to 3,500 miles on them and they still look new. BUT,,, due to the front tire design, it was a constant struggle to keep the bike running straight. And 'no' its not the head bearing. Bike has always run straight and true when running the Metzelers. It started as soon as I installed the Commanders. After the Commanders burn off, I may try the new E3's. I would however like to see follow-ups on the DURO's. It may turn out to be a good alernative. The price sure is great.
Fritz
