I can see it now.” He was going to say something smart about how Vibe shouldn’t reproduce but decided against it. Both because it wasn’t true in anyway and because he was being careful of those claws that would, gladly, sink into his leg. But her next comment made him smile that innocent smile again and shake his head slightly, as he purposely detached his eyes from her to gaze out the window. “I can’t pin what it is…something’s wrong. It’s obvious, huh?” He let out a sigh and his head shook in a reply to a question he’d asked himself silently without realization. “I’m…not me anymore. What changed?” He spoke to himself too, asking himself the same question he asked every hour as he watched the clock stroke the lost time. “I’m unhappy and I don't even know why. There’s nothing to live for. I think I made a mistake…” it was having regrets, apparently. Maybe he’d made a mistake with this whole eternal life thing. .:.
