Oh she'd show him, alright. Eyes narrowed, not a tear stained her complection as she glared at the less than fatherly figure before her while her figure trembled in rage, and yet, it was all she could do to keep from launching herself at his throat. The expression, Zeth had seen all too many times upon the features of her mother, remained as if carved in stone, and yet it was the rummbling of thunder in the distance and the empathetic touch of her father's friend that kept the return of hurtful words from passing her painted lips. Breathe in. Breathe out. Still waters. Breathe in. Breathe out.

"Mother never would have owned something so... ugly, daddy."

Lavinia really didn't care anymore what unsaid threats Zeth unleashed upon her. Just as with the flesh of feeder stock, the more injuries inflicted upon it, the tougher the scar tissue and hardier the flesh. Her supple body turning into Brad, Lavinia took a deep breath and forced a cheerful smile as she spoke once more.

"No worries. Zeth's a terrible liar, though a breath of fresh air sounds delightful. The bitter old man is full of shit and the odor is quite unpleasant."

Zeth didn't know his daughters. He didn't know the heart that beat beneath her breast or the immense loyalty Lavinia called her own. Yet, it seemed that daddy-daughter relationships were complicated and very unpleasant. At least this one was.
