Once Valhorek had finished the AC/DC song, he decided to slow things up a bit. He wanted to get together with Jeremy at some other time so that he could have a chance to listen to the strange bard type device the otherworldly youth possessed, thus broadening his knowledge of some of the stranger music styles that he had never heard of.

For now the healer was pleased to play something that he was familiar with. Music was something he never really wanted to get into, but found himself sitting in a bazaar one day, simply listening to the various minstrels playing their numerous instruments. He appreciated the sound of the lute, and soon fell in love with its sound. What he didn’t know was that the lute itself came in different sizes as well as string configurations. The traditional lute consisted of only four strings, but he soon found out that the other lutes had a total of eleven strings, which all in all produced a much fuller sound. The healer appreciated the instrument’s delicate, and muted beauty, and soon found a reputable merchant from which to buy one.

He spent the next year practicing, and taking lessons whenever he had the opportunity. His ability to travel as both adventurer, and healer, opened a variety of doors to many nobles who retained bards for their own use, and that’s where Val learned many of the tricks of the musical trade.

He had inadvertently left his lute back at the tavern, and now that he was here, wished he had brought it with him. Perhaps he would buy another lute, one of a cheaper build that would be good while traveling. He would look into the situation the next time they arrived at a large city. For now he was simply content to offer the entertainment, which by the looks of things, was getting most unusual, especially by the introduction of the game by Jeremy.

Corum had finally gotten over his unease with the woman he was dancing with, and no longer realized her tope was bare. He actually started to converse with her, and learned much about the tribe, and what they did out here on the edge of the dessert.

Both of them had a difficult time with the new song Valhorek had started to play, but once they looked at Jeremy, and Marz, both who were dancing unusually, they simply shrugged their shoulders, and went at it. Eventually both were out of breath, and appreciated the slower song. The tribal woman placed herself close to Corum while they danced slowly. Corum was actually starting to enjoy this feeling when Jeremy yelled out something about a new game.

Corum looked at the woman. “Why not,” the youth stated. “What have we got to lose?" He took her by the hand, and led her to the campsite where the others had gathered.

Erlic didn’t know what to make of Tia, and for once he was somewhat perplexed. When he had first approached her, she had given him the appearance of being somewhat afraid of him, but now that they both were away from the others, she became the inquisitor. She strode around him as if examining him for an adventure, trying to spot his strengths, and his weaknesses, at least that’s how he initially felt.

She threw herself into his arms, and through sheer reflex, he quickly grabbed her. She had smiled at him stating there was nothing wrong with his reactions. Before he could say more, he found himself leading her to dance, and wondered who was really in control.

The pretty elf had expected him to whisper sweet nothings in her ear, but Erlic found he couldn’t get a word in edgewise. That was when she spilt some of the brandy over his back, and claimed to simply pretend that it was the newest cologne out in the market. One thing about Tia, she knew how to have fun, and enjoy herself. Perhaps she could provide some insight as to how she managed to do so.

Erlic was still trying to say something to the woman when she pulled back after hearing Jeremy’s yell of a game. She led him back to the campsite where he found himself sitting next to the pretty elf. Jeremy had passed her a cigarette, and without even thinking, she simply inhaled the tobacco, and then passed it on to him, expecting him to enjoy himself. The guild master was ready to compliment the young elf when she turned back to him and stated, "Oh, just suck down some of that smoke already cause it might help to loosen your tongue a bit."

He wasn’t sure how to handle that but perhaps she was right. They were in a friendly camp, and for now, it seemed that nothing was going to bother them. The assassin tried the tobacco, and found it very reminiscent of his mentor’s tobacco. He remembered his teacher’s words on how it helped to be relaxed at times.

The guild master watched and listened as Jeremy explained the rules of the game. He really didn’t see any difference between the game they were about to play as opposed to the one they had partaken in back at the castle, where only kisses were exchanged.

Without waiting for anyone, Tia grabbed the dagger, placed in on the ground, and proceeded to spin the weapon. It eventually slowed down, and landed on…..him?

“I win! I win!” Tia hopped up and down, if hopping up and down was possible from a seated position. “Uh, what did I win?” the beautiful elf questioned.

“Weren’t you paying attention?” Jeremy asked. “You got to take the big guy over to the cave, and you’ve got only three minutes to do what you want.”

“Now we’re talking!” Tia announced, as she quickly stood up, wavered a bit before taking another sip of the brandy. “That’s much better. C’mon big guy,” Tia stated as she nearly dragged Erlic from his seated position, and practically dragged him to the cave.

Once there, Erlic really didn’t think it necessary to enter so he merely peered in, barely making out any of the items in the cave since it was so dark. “Don’t be such a party pooper,” Tia yelled as she pushed him into the cave. Erlic stumbled on something, and wound up on the floor. This didn’t seem like the type of lesson he had expected from the young elf, who was supposed to teach him how to converse properly to women. Erlic decided he would simply wait the three minutes out before joining his friends.
