I believe from the study of God's Word that the New Testament Church was in peoples houses (THE CONVERTS HOUSE). Here in Acts 8:3, We see Saul making havok of the Church. The Word of God says, "As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every HOUSE, and hailing men and women committed them to prison." There are many other verses in God's Word that speaks of the assembly meeting in the house, like Romans 16:5, I Corinthians 16:19, and Philemon verse 2. If you would be interested in a list of many others I would be glad to send it to you. I would send it to you right now but I do not have that it me. These were just some verses that I could think of. I further believe that the reason for the church being in the home and staying in the home was because of the difference of addition and multiplication. The church is to multiply itself and thus is constantly sending people out of thier assembly to go plant other churches.
I also have some questions: #1 Why do missionaries need so much money to plant a church when they can just follow the Word of God and establish one in the converts house?
#2 Why are missionaries staying in one place for many many years thus becoming more less an international pastor when our New Testament Example was itenerant?
#3 What is true FAITH missions?
#4 (This one is kind of general)If our goal is WORLD EVANGELISM, How (Not according to your opinion, but according to the Bible) can this World be Evangelised? ~Please be spacific, not just discipleship~
