MD sucks the life right out ES or worse elicits overacting response. As for Roger, when focus shifted to Todd, like in jailhouse scenes he just dominated the scene & totally eclipsed screeching Kassie. He was a marvel to watch w/good material & camera squarely focused on Todd & his emotions. But except for those few weeks, Roger's acting goes south around Kassie this go-around. Too bad he used to elevate her, not she drags him down. -- At The Bayberry

So let's get this straight, Pilar. You LOVE Roger's acting when Todd is being mean to Blair, and you HATE Roger's acting when Todd is being nice to Blair. - I think that Kassie is a fair to adequate 'soap' actress. She USED to be better in scenes with RH... ITA with Pilar. Now he is more at her level due in large part to the writing as well.   - Louise, I've said this before but B&M brings out the worst acting in Kassie, the SPDs & physical ridiculous antics strip her of all dramatic talent. In 96/97, she was out of JdP's Max orbit & her acting was more subtle, evoked even some praise from me for Brendan/Manning Ball scenes!   - Actually, Curious, I find my views on his acting are pretty much in line w/critics. Roger WAS most wasted talent in 2000 in SOD despite countless scenes w/Kassie. And he earned first critical acclaim for scenes I highly praised FIRST here, the specter scenes.. and of course "performer of the week" for "Hell No" week which has been his best full week of work since return Unless you're accusing mags of projecting their hatred of Blair, too?
