She could vaguely remember back when she had a first come here at a tender young age and the mare had welcomed her, as she did everyone, with open arms. So many memories resided here in their home. The ground was steeped in the history of Cascade Mountains love and war was the breath that blew softly across the treetops, whispering of things past and things yet to come.
