Hey everyone. Haven't been here in a while, but I just came across this very exciting news on Mary D's site.

Good News / Bad News for Aussies and Kiwis

After a long delay of not getting word about whether Season 4 to 6 will be released in Australia on DVD, I've received word today from Dave that Seasons 4, 5 and 6 will be released on 28 July 2004 for Australia and New Zealand (Region 4) - each season will be a six disc boxset similar to Seasons 1 to 3. Unfortunately, it seems that we won't be getting any of the extras that Region 1 is getting - just the episodes. Bummer.

Seasons 4 - 6 are being released on Region 1 on June 15. Season 4 is available on Amazon.com (they haven't put up 5 and 6 yet) for US$55.99. Throw in shipping, with the current exchange rate you're looking at roughly AU$86.00 - and that's for the ENTIRE season. I could well be wrong, but In OZ I suspect prices will be around $70.00 for half a box set, that's $140.00 smackeroos for an entire season.

If you have a multi-region DVD player, this is a VERY attractive option and it's definitely the option I'm taking. :) You also get all the bells and whistles Region 4 will be missing.

So either way, it looks like we'll finally be able to complete our Xena DVD collections! Much happiness and rejoicing :) It's about time.
