If the 1-AA designation is in fact eliminated, it would create one large pool of 1-A programs and "real" 1-A programs, but the muddying of the two present categories into one I believe would help Fordham Football make the move gradually up to a real 1-A level, should we ever want to do that. I'll advocate the move. Army has gone independent and has scheduled Wake Forest, Rice, Georgia Tech, Baylor, Iowa State, Texas AM&N, and Duke. Army is negotiating with Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and USC. If Army can return to big time, so can Fordham. Shea Stadium is the perfect venue-plenty of parking and at the end of the A Train.
