Subject: Sore throat home remedies?

So far I have tried:

tea
ricola
eating oranges
gargling with salt water (ew)
eating spicy food
wearing a scarf all night
drinking coke (because I was thirsty and anyway, who knows?)


Suggestions welcome :)

Or small amounts of natural honey licked off a spoon...it's supposed to help combat infections

The sore throat is gone in exchange for coughing and sniffling. How crazy is it to catch a cold when it's 30C outside??
