Subject: It's kind of funny
Even Ali pointed out last night that Canada seems to be getting a lot more international press over Monday's election results because of the fact our new PM is young and attractive...

Having watched him grow up, it's all kind of funny to me.

I'm not sure what to think of the current status in US politics -- AS, Saturday, November 07, 10:57:16am (d154-20-56-53.bchsia.telus.net/154.20.56.53)
On one hand, I would vote for Bernie over Hillary but looking at the Republican candidates, am wondering if there is a sane candidate lurking in the background. Or is Jeb letting these two oddballs just self destruct publically so he can surge ahead later???
As for the new government up here, the CBC had two articles that semi-gleefully rehashed how bad things had gotten with public service muzzling and keeping the press away from most agencies for the past few years...it was fun to read and see how at least for now, there is a huge feeling of optimism in Ottawa again.

I would not vote for Sanders. -- Lij, Tuesday, November 10, 07:36:38am (adsl-108-67-88-68.dsl.bltnin.sbcglobal.net/108.67.88.68)
I wish an ex-governor and US Senator from Indiana, Evan Bayh, a democrat, would enter the race.

So I guess we sit back and wait for July then? -- AS, Tuesday, November 10, 10:41:00am (d154-20-56-53.bchsia.telus.net/154.20.56.53)
WellI hope that they both end up with the best possible candidates FOR the people by that time. That the current dog and pony show the GOP is putting on is truly smoke and mirrors...

The republicans end up with 'a best possible candidate for the people?' -- Lij, Thursday, November 12, 04:16:50am (adsl-108-67-88-64.dsl.bltnin.sbcglobal.net/108.67.88.64)
That would be a laugh.
