He's doing some of the logging road/hydro cut lines and walking trails above and through Ladysmith. The area where he talks about the RCMP station and then you see that small gazebo like structure is at the far corner of our neighbourhood, aka "Old Town". Don and Ali take part of those trails to walk up to a lake above town-spectacular viewpoint over the local harbour and the Salish Sea towards the lower mainland.

We don't take the dogs on these trails too often, too many loose dogs and potential for bear encounters. The trails we do take (with the exception of the Nanaimo hatchery) don't see much bear sign, only deer and rabbits.

.... I got deathly ill. I started to watch it again today and started to get the same feeling. I think watching it upsets my equilibrium somehow. It seems to be those scenes where you don't get a view of the horizon that effects me the most.

The lack of a stedi cam means your eyes are making rapid movements to stabilize the image and that can lead to issues wth the brain...we see people who have that issue and sometimes require anti nausea meds, etc
