Years ago, Khan, queen of the Pheonix, traveled about the earth learnig of humanity. Able to change form, she amassed amny aliases(sp), such as Tengu in Japan and Quezal in South America. After learnig about human cultures, she found that there were many people that would desire to hurt their own. She took it upon herself to become an instrument of justice for the people. However, she often did more harm than good. A shaman allowed her spirit to possess him, and, together, they traveled the western world righting wrongs. When he died, he sealed Khan's spirit within an area of wild onions near Lake Michigan.

Thousands of years later, Angelo, a shaman, accidentally stumbled upon the seal of Khan. He freed the spirit and she merged with him. He was transformed into a red-winged creature of great power. Through his eyes, Khan saw how rampant crime was in Chicago. Several individuals in particular ired her more than any. These peoples belonged to a cult of a familiar spirit. Against Angelo's will, Khan once again soars off to stop the heinous acts from being commited. She may, accidentally, destroy a wizard who is fighting for the same cause...
