. . small smile plays at his lips and he laughs softly. So, you like my horse, but not me? I see how it is. Cain lifts his head and look at the stallion within the trailer. Feel lucky, Shatt, she likes you, even with your attitude. He says to the horse. He looks back to Hailey, deciding to tell her of how he got him, Shattered is about as wild as they come. He came from Saudi Arabia, know where that is? Well, he is what you call a desert Arabian. He lived out there, with a herd full of mares and babies. Happy as could be. he pauses and looks to Hailey, then continues, Well, some smart guy decided that Shattered here should be caught and used for a stud horse at a rich mans barn. Well, they caught him alright, but no one could get close enough to try and gentle him. And that's where I come in. Since they couldn't do anything with him, they sent him over here, a lot on miles away from home, to be slaughtered. Some how they figured that instead of letting him back into his home, that he would make better stake for someone. I got him at the auction and here we are. Heading for home as he finishes, he looks up to the stallion, who had quited long enough for him to tell his story. As soon as Cain had finished, he resumed his pawing . .
