I am a resident of Washington Parish in Louisiana and I will agree with you 100 %! Our area was hit hard but we survived.Natural disasters are just that and I can not believe the way the people have taken advantage of this situation.I am the father of two adult mentally challenged kids and we faced this storm,we lived thru it,and life goes on.Personally I hope that someone out there searches to see where each penny has gone that was sent here by all sorts of wonderful people around the world.Sadly to say a lot of us didn't seem to qualify for much but that's ok,if I have to lie to get help,I don't need it.I'm wondering just how well our La. politicians came out on funds that were to be meant for the people.
Folks it's time to get off the pity pot and start living normal lives again ! This had nothing to do with race.I personally saw the mayor of New Orleans in tears asking and pleading for the people to evacuate and yet he gets blamed afterwards! What a pity.Let me explain,"Natural disaster",it is no ones fault. It is a act of nature.Get over it!
My thanks to all the wonderful people who lended a helping hand and the many prayers that were sent up.God bless you all...........Mike
