Apparently they didn't register with either the Salvation Army or the Red Cross. If they were seen by either agency, or many of the church agencies, they would have received a personal care kit with toiletries. They also would received vouchers for lost eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures, medications, and a voucher to purchase immediate needs like clothing and basic furniture and housewares. Also, church groups and Hearts with Hands, and Samaritan's Purse are providing food, clothing and assistance by the tons every day throughout the region. If survivors are outside the disaster area, the local churches will be coming to their assistance as well as the local Red Cross and Salvation Army.
