I do not live in neworleans but i personally know engineers who have survied them over the years. All my life I have heard about the great flood of '27 and how much my family lost then. This situtation that came about was not just the fault of one person, the country after 9/11 had many plans to try to inact to help save lives, unfortuanatly practice is not like the real thing. Funding for the levee comes from the federal and state government, and considering who some of past goveners were i'm surprised that this state still has some of the things that it has.
