Date Posted: Mon, Jan 05 2015, 18:29:15 Hi Everyone, Happy New Year?/ It really saddens me to see the lack of participation here.... and I know that it is not because the rate of addiction is no longer a problem. I can't pinpoint the exact reason when I started to rethink this idea... but have had some challenges this past year healthwise, and also have rekindled some past nursing friendships. Also, my sister had a cystectomy with Indiana Pouch due to chronic IC, and was UIC for 15 days.... and my love for nursing was "watered" and brought back to current memory ... For the most part, I don't regret leaving nursing... my life is good today without the nursing BS. All the same... I miss the comraderie that I shared with fellow nurses, and have never found anything close with coworkers in other jobs I have had since leaving nursing. I am not sure what I am seeking here.... but am thinking of the idea of a counseling/ resource site for nurses with additions issues who are entertaining the idea of leaving the nursing field and need help, and those like myself and Catmom and Lily who have pasts that are out in the open and may wamt to stay in nursing but sadly, nursing does not want them quite as much. Would love to hear fron any of you.... we can get together in cyber space and throw around ideas... my email: jeellis57@yahoo.com [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
