She knocks lightly, on her way to pick Jackson up, she wasn't sure if he was still out with keisha and Missy. She was still beating herself up over getting back with Kaison... but really- she had no say in the matter- her heart took over.

She had Brandon on her hip, and Jackson tagging along behind as they scooted to the door. Brandon wasn't generally a hyperactive kid, but when he had someone around to work him up - and now was that time. It was easy for her to talk this way now that she had been forced away from Jeff - when he'd gone into lock-up, she'd had no choice but to give him up.
