My Grandfather Capt. Harry M. Sample was a pilot in the 404th FS and was killed October 29th 1944 during a training mission in his P-47 near La Lox. (excuse the spelling) I have a year book of the 371th FG and there are pictures of the patches I imagine the pilots wore on their shoulders the likes of Kismet 404th, Discharge 405th and Yearling 406th. I can scan this art work and email them to you If this is what you are looking for. Would you happen to know any Information regarding Capt. Sample, his crash or any information leading up to his crash?
