I've a big collection of WWII Patches .
Most of them are of the 8th Air Force, several of 9th AF and a few of the Pacific Area.
As to your dicription It could be of 9th A.F flying of Marocco first, attacking Italy. Are you willing to send me the images of the patches? I have many books so I could be able to help you out.
